Job: RFP Writer

Role 

To work in the RFP Team which will means working with all of the Distribution Sales teams, both those which are UK based and those in six European countries, plus Dubai and Singapore. Liaison with London based Marketing, Product Development, Performance, Risk and other departments. 

Responsibilities 

• Manage and produce RFIs/RFPs and ad hoc requests across all asset classes, accurately and on a timely basis
• Cultivate personal and working relationships with internal and external contacts, particularly with your specialist product Fund Management Teams, in order to write and edit content for questionnaires
• Maintain and develop sources of information e.g. AUM, performance
• Conduct internal reviews on work produced by other team members, this includes checking the accuracy of facts and figures, a sensibility check, formatting and that questions are answered fully
• Maintain the information flow throughout the team so that all are aware of any changes e.g. relating to personnel changes
• Attend various meetings and read relevant articles/documents in order keep abreast of investment processes at the firm
• Maintain and grow knowledge in all asset classes and wider general processes across all departments
• Participate in Distribution Team initiatives and special projects as required
• Support and back up team members as required and act as overflow on other RFPs for other team members 

Person specification 

• Technical and product knowledge of Equities required, Alternatives desirable.
• Understanding of asset management in terms of market place, product range, client base, investment process etc
• Preferably threshold competent (i.e. have completed or studying for the IMC exam).
• Ability to work within a team structure but also independently on projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Understanding of strategic marketing and writing to win new business.
• Attention to detail, highly accurate and organised
• Ability to work under pressure, within tight deadlines, yet maintain a high-level of professionalism and produce quality output 
• Ability to deal diplomatically, knowledgeably and tactfully with the prospects, third-party consultants or high-level professionals within the firm
• Strong PC literacy
