Role 

The aim of the marketing department is to increase brand awareness and product saliency to retail investors and market professionals. This will be achieved through relevant, targeted and compelling communications to our key audiences utilising all appropriate media channels. A key part of the role will be to support the sales efforts and integrate the marketing message to increase the company’s market share and broaden the business mix.

 The main purpose of the role is to promote company’s product range within the UK and Nordics, with a particular focus on delivering digital (including email, web and video) communications and participating in technology-related initiatives.

 Responsibilities 

  • Proactive maintenance and development primarily of UK & Nordic retail websites and microsites in accordance within established regulatory and corporate values and guidelines:
  • Maintain and update the UK, Nordic websites, ensuring existing content is up to date, including share class, pricing and fund lists, and accounting, legal and marketing documents.
  • Create, produce and maintain relevant, compliant content for the websites, including text, banners, buttons and rich media. 
  • Use technology to support the sales targets, encourage wider usage and retention of our products and increase brand awareness:
  • Use technology to ensure the creation and execution of added-value online-marketing campaigns, fund information
  • Manage the email delivery of product and marketing emails for UK and Nordics
  • Create ad-hoc html emails using global templates.
  • Monitor, measure and evaluate email activity and report back findings and recommendations 
  • Sales and marketing technology
  • Involvement in filming or recording, post-production (including transcripts) and delivering video and audio in an appropriate format
  • As required, represent the UK, Nordic sales or marketing interests in technology, software or online-based projects
  • Demonstrate an up to date knowledge of digital/technology sales and marketing initiatives , including social media within our own company and industry along with those that can be adapted from other sectors
  • Assist with training/briefing internal audiences where appropriate 
  • Produce reporting material, including factsheets (printed & html), product profiles and manager reports
  • Update documents for new share classes, fund launches or other business requirements
  • Work closely with the development teams to ensure that the documents meet all business requirements for the region
  • Ensure all documents are available in a timely fashion and are sufficiently accurate and detailed for client purposes 
  • General requirements
  • As required, develop engaging sales and marketing messages and materials for our funds that meet corporate, departmental and regulatory guidelines and objectives. This will include print materials and PowerPoint presentations
  • Liaise with internal teams appropriate to source and check information and ensure it meets all legal and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of the products we sell, their investment process and key sales points.
  • Assist in the training and development of colleagues or agencies as required
  • Assist the team in, creative thinking, writing, proof reading and data and quality checking
  • Maintain accurate records for compliance purposes
  • Create, maintain and update marketing procedures that relate directly to your role
  • Adhere to all departmental, regulatory and corporate guidelines and objectives
  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of TCF principles and how they relate to the role
  • Participate in ad hoc projects as required 

 

Person specification 

  • Ideally educated to degree level in relevant subject
  • Proven experience of working in an e-marketing/web environment within an asset management company
  • Ability to explain the current competitor and industry environment and how it may develop and demonstrate an understanding of distribution channels and their needs
  • Previous experience of websites and documents driven by databases and data profiling
  • Advanced skills in html and standard Microsoft packages such as PowerPoint and Excel
  • Web-related desktop publishing skills e.g.; image creation for web using Photoshop/GIMP or similar
  • Evidence of developing creative solutions and creating and executing innovative ideas
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships at all levels of the organisation
  • Team player but able to work independently
  • Able to work under pressure, to tight deadlines
  • Proactive and flexible in organising workload
